Product marketers are responsible for developing a product’s value proposition, pricing strategy, positioning strategy, promotion plan, and distribution channel strategies. Product marketers also work with other company departments to develop these strategies. These departments include design and engineering, sales and customer service.

The goal of product marketing is to bring customers into contact with products or services that will satisfy their needs or wants as quickly as possible.
